Aftercare Advice

To ensure the best possible results and support your body’s natural balance, please take a few moments to follow the guidance below.

💆‍♀️ After a Massage, Reflexology, or Reiki Treatment

  • Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins released during your treatment.

  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours to allow your body to rebalance naturally.

  • Rest and relax — your body may feel lighter, tender, or deeply calm afterwards.

  • Avoid heavy exercise or strenuous activity for the remainder of the day.

  • Take a warm bath with Epsom or Himalayan salts to soothe muscles and aid detoxification.

  • You may experience emotional release, vivid dreams, or tiredness as your energy rebalances — this is completely normal.

  • Honour your body’s needs by resting, reflecting, and hydrating well.


🌿 Waxing Preparation & Aftercare

Before Your Appointment:

  • Exfoliate 24 hours before your wax to remove dead skin cells and help prevent ingrown hairs.

  • Avoid using lotions, oils, or deodorants on the day of your appointment.

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing.

  • Hair should be at least ¼ inch long for best results.

After Your Appointment:

  • Avoid hot showers, saunas, and swimming for 24–48 hours.

  • Do not exfoliate the waxed area for at least 3 days.

  • Avoid touching the area unnecessarily to prevent irritation or infection.

  • Moisturise daily with a gentle, unscented lotion to keep skin soft and smooth.

  • Exfoliate lightly after 3 days to reduce the chance of ingrown hairs.


☀️ Tanning Preparation & Aftercare

Before Your Tan:

  • Exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment to remove dry skin and create an even base.

  • Shave or wax at least 24 hours prior.

  • Avoid perfume, deodorant, or moisturiser on the day of your tan.

  • Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing to prevent transfer.

After Your Tan:

  • Avoid showering or exercising for 6–8 hours after your spray tan.

  • Moisturise daily to extend the life of your tan.

  • Gently exfoliate as it fades to ensure an even result.


General Wellbeing Advice

  • Continue drinking water regularly to stay hydrated and support natural detoxification.

  • Listen to your body — rest and recharge when you need it.

  • Regular holistic treatments can help maintain balance, reduce stress, and enhance your overall wellbeing.

  • Remember: self-care isn’t an indulgence, it’s essential.
